A night at MArine drive !!

It was half past 12 in the night, Tired of all assignments many of which were still pending later in the night,I was standing in the balcony staring at the calm vast sea meeting the sky at the horizon, Isn't our life like this. We keep on running to achieve our ultimate aim, always thinking that we are so near but v never reach it. Whether it be 10th,12th,eng entrance exam, graduation paper etc we coax ourselves saying just one more time every time .This happens not only in student life but also in professional world wherein we keep going for one more goal, one more washing machine , now i need a big 52 inch plasma HD technology LED TV ,Its nice but a home theatre along with it would make life an absolute fun , and the race continues , it never stops one thing after another . Just like a curious sailor we keep on moving in order to touch the horizon. Sometimes it looks like as if we are acting as the donkey whose master has tied a carrot in front of him, and it keeps on running to get it . But who is the master ? Who led us on this path of materialism where we are never satisfied ? Is it because of the marketing campaigns which forms our perceptions and make us believe that we should have this thing . So many examples are there in which companies create a market out of nothing entirely new segments . Or is it because of the basic need of human being to be ahead of their peers, to seek attention and marketing companies are just playing around it ??
